RAUL RAMIREZ - DRUMS
Raul started banging the drums so
long ago he can't really remember when he
started. Growing in Puerto Rico, he has been influenced by many genres
of
music including rock, jazz, salsa, reggae and many others. After graduating
with a degree in Chemistry from Georgia Tech (thinking he could save the
world from environmental hazards), he packed his drums and drove up to
Boston to study Music Production and Engineering at Berklee College of
Music. There he minored in drums and computer music, and took the place
of
Eduardo Paniagua (now drummer for Puya) in the band Spanish Flies with
whom
he travelled extensively the northeast coast and toured Puerto Rico opening
up the stage for Robi Rosa. He filmed a video for the single 'Terminal'
and
their music was used as the soundtrack for the Puerto Rican surf video
'La
Bruja'. He signed a label deal with the band Sofia, with whom he toured
Mexico and released a video for the single 'Tres Palabras', shown on MTV
Latino.
